UT: Four booked for assault at fish market

CHANDIGARH: The UT police have booked four persons for allegedly assaulting and injuring two persons at fish market in Dhanas on Saturday night. Both the injured have been admitted to GMSH-16. The police said the brawl took place over buying fish.
Mohammad Tafazul of Daddumajra Colony, Sector 38, alleged that he had gone to buy fish from the fish market in Dhanas with his friends Faizal and Wahid. Accused Suresh, Mukesh, Zehreela and Spati, all residents of EWS colony in Dhanas, also reached there to buy fish.
As they were buying fish, the accused persons said they would buy the fish first, following which the complainant said they had come before them so they would buy first. Later, both the parties entered into heated arguments and the accused assaulted Faizal and Wahid with sharp weapons and fled from the spot. A case has been filed.
