15 rescued from lift of supermarket in Thane

Thane, Jan 17 (UNI) Fifteen people, including a baby boy, who were stuck in the lift of a supermarket in Bhayander town of the district, were rescued by the firemen on Sunday.
After getting the emergency call at around 1940 hours in the evening, the firemen rushed to Dmart at Bhayander and rescued all the 15 people, including a one-and-a-half-year-old boy, two children and few women, after about two-and-a-half-hours struggle, officials said.
The lift malfunctioned possibly due to overload, they added.
