Family away, house in Noida's Jal Vayu Vihar burgled

NOIDA: Burglars allegedly fled with jewellery worth Rs 5 lakh and Rs 1 lakh cash from a house in Jal Vayu Vihar on Saturday night. Police said the family had gone out for dinner around 6.30pm and when they returned around 10pm, they found the house ransacked and the valuables missing.
Based on a complaint, the unknown robbers have been booked under IPC Section 380 (theft). “Police are scanning the CCTV footage of the area to trace the culprits,” said R K Singh, the SHO of Sector 20 police station.
Similarly, another house in Sector 127 was allegedly burgled of several bundles of electric wires and other valuables.
Police said the burglars had entered the house through the terrace. “The owners had recently done some furnishing work in the house. The burglars fled with the leftover goods. The family is yet to file a written complaint,” said Yogesh Malik, the SHO of Expressway police station.
