Peddapalli: Water Resource department officials operated a pump at the Nandi pump house to lift Godavari water from Yellampalli project on Sunday.

The officials switched on the fourth pump at Nandi pump house, constructed as part of Package 6 of Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Scheme, project, and were releasing 3,150 cusecs of water into Nandi reservoir constructed near Nandimedram of Dharmaram mandal.

Later, the water will be taken to Gayatri (Laxmi) pump house constructed near Ramadugu mandal, Karimnagar district as part of Package 7, which will then be shifted to Mid Manair reservoir.

Meanwhile, Mid Manair reservoir officials decided to release 3,150 cusecs of water into Lower Manair Dam from 5 pm onwards.
