Maharashtra: Thane health employees get boost with Covid vaccine shots

THANE: There was a huge excitement among the health workers on Saturday at the vaccination centers across city wherein the front line warriors witnessed a sense of joy and excitement.
The frontline workers selected to be the first to get the shots were excited as well as anxious to get it.
Sagar Joshi, a nursing staff and a member of Covid control room of Thane district said, “The whole atmosphere at the various locations was electrifying as it was a milestone after treating thousands of Covid positive patients. The first shot was taken by civil surgeon Kailas Pawar sir after which the other staff gained confidence. Though I was not infected with the virus, but after taking the vaccination we are confident that if we are healthy only then we will be able to take care of our patients in a more better way. "
Another health worker at the Kores vaccination centre, said, “Im excited to take the shots, we have been told about the procedure and following it . After a long wait we have got the confidence that we can serve the Covid patients fearlessly. As in the past few month, the scenario was completely different, even in that we managed to treat them. But here onwards , things are going to be different.”
