NITI Aayog member VK Paul, who took Covid-19 vaccine on the first day itself, said that both the vaccines developed in India are great. Paul appealed to people to take the vaccines to help the country in the fight against Covid-19. Paul said, “We should respect the scientific processes that unfolded in extremely different, difficult & unusual circumstances. Please embrace it and show to the world faith in your own products, in your own science, own technology and faith in the regulatory system and faith in the government - both Central and in states.” AIIMS Director Dr Randeep Guleria said, "I want to reassure everyone that the vaccine is safe. It is efficacious. We have to vaccinate a huge number of people and therefore we can't start being very choosy. We must have confidence in our researchers, scientists and regulatory authorities.”
