20 ITBP personnel get first shot of Covid-19 vaccine

New Delhi, Jan 16 (UNI) Twenty Indo Tibetan Border Police(ITBP) personnel on Saturday received first shot of covid-19 vaccine at Leh hospital.

According to ITBP officials, three doctors, including two females and one male, and 17 paramedics of the force received the vaccine under the world largest vaccination drive rolled out in India after its launch by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The Force's Chief Medical Officer Dr Katyayni Sharma was among the 20 vaccine recipients. All the ITBP personnel are posted in Leh.

With its participation in the world's largest Covid vaccination roll-out, the ITBP assured the people that they can rely on 'Made in India' vaccines -- 'Covishield' and 'Covaxin'.
