President-elect Joe Biden will take decisive action over ten days to address four intersecting crises, his incoming chief of staff said in a memo to staff on Saturday.

“We face four overlapping and compounding crises: the Covid-19 crisis, the resulting economic crisis, the climate crisis, and a racial equity crisis,” wrote Ron Klain, Biden’s incoming chief of staff.

“In his first ten days in office, President-elect Biden will take decisive action to address these four crises, prevent other urgent and irreversible harms, and restore America’s place in the world,” Klain wrote.

The New York Times initially reported on Klain’s memo.

Several of Biden’s actions will start reversing some of President Donald Trump’s most contentious policies.
The initial orders are expected to include a reversal of Trump’s travel ban on several Muslim-majority countries, and rejoining the Paris climate pact.
