Dehradun, Jan 16 (UNI) With 226 new COVID-19 cases, the total tally of Coronavirus infections in Uttarakhand touched 94691 on Saturday.
The state reported the death of four male Covid-19 patients in the last 24 hours.
With this, the death toll of positive patients has increased to 1,606 while there are 2,349 actives cases in Uttarakhand.
The sample positivity rate in the state now stands at 4.79 per cent.
Moreover, 272 COVID-19 patients have recovered today.
According to the health bulletin released by the state health department on Saturday evening of 226 fresh cases, the maximum number of 90 fresh cases were reported from Dehradun district.
The new cases reported from other districts included 40 from Nainital, 31 from Haridwar, 18 from Udham singh Nagar, 14 from Almora, 9 from Tehri Garhwal, 8 from Pithoragarh, 6 from Chamoli and 2 each from Bageshwar, Champawat, Pauri Garhwal, Rudraprayag and Uttarkashi districts.
Today 16,387 COVID-19 samples found negative while a total number of 11,424 samples sent for COVID-19 testing today.
Percentage recovery for COVID-19 patients in the state is 94.47 per cent.
Uttarakhand currently has six containment zones in two districts including a maximum number of 4 in Uttarkashi district.
