"Yoga instructors are to be appointed in 214 coaching centres shortly": Claimed Manoj

Ambassa (Tripura), Jan 16 (UNI) Tripura Sports Minister Manoj Kanti Deb declared that the department got into planning to appoint yoga instructors in all the 214 coaching centres in the state here in Kamalpur today.
He was delivering his inaugural speech after inaugurating a week-long Yoga master trainers training camp in the indoor hall of Kamalpur Degree College in the bordering subdivision in the northern Tripura district of Dhalai here.
The programme was initiated by the Sub Divisional Youth and Sports Office to prepare 20 master trainers of Yoga to impart training in six schools in the subdivision later.
On that occasion, Manoj remained present as the inaugurator along with Deputy Director of Sports Pimong Mog, Principal In-charge of Kamalpur Degree College Dr Sndip Chakraborty, Asstt. Professor Subal Das, Chairperson of Durgachowmuhani Panchayat Samiti Sampa Das and Social Activist cum renowned personality Prasanta Sinha presided over the function. There in his short speech, Manoj claimed, "Yoga is a lifestyle, a remedy to healthy living. Healthy mind, body and physique can be attained through Yoga. As a result, the department is keen to incorporate Yoga at school levels. Primarily some schools are selected in the state and trained master trainers would teach the students in the schools. Yoga mats have also procured for providing to schools. The aim is to make a society healthy and sound. To further this point the department is planning to appoint Yoga instructors in 214 coaching centres in the state. And the appointment would be made from the youths who have earned at least a Diploma in Yoga".
The schools selected primarily in the subdivision where Yoga would be taught are Kamalpur Government English Medium HS School, Nagaon High School, Kalachari H.S. School, Durai Shibbari High School, Chulubari High School and Bamancharra HS School. After seven days of training, the instructors would be sent to their schools.
