Sara Ali Khan is one popular actress now. She has time and again spoken highly of her mother and how she contributed in her growth. Talking to Hindustan Times, Sara said, “Everything I do comes from my mother, whether it’s styling or films. I bounce everything to her, but the irony of that statement is she has told me ‘listen as your mother, I can tell you what I think, but ultimately the only thing you have to rely on is conviction. If you don’t feel it, don’t do it." Also Read - Sara Ali Khan, Ananya Pandey and Gauri Khan party at Karan Johar's house — view pics and videos
Talking about life now vs life before she was not an actress, Sara said, "It’s a tricky question to ask, because everything changes when you are an outsider versus when you are inside. You can’t compare. The one thing I will tell you is I am very lucky and privileged to be in this industry. I have even forgotten what it is like to not be a part of it, I don’t remember how I thought it used to be. I am privileged to be given this opportunity that’s all I know." Earlier, Sara spoke about her lockdown experience. Sara said, "Sitting at home for nine months can be difficult for someone as ambitious as me, but there's a learning in everything. I used to have 500 things on my to-do list, believing that [achieving them] will make me happy. The lockdown made me realise that waking up every morning with my mother [Amrita Singh] makes me happy.” Also Read - Naane Varuven first look: Dhanush impresses with his massy and intense avatar in Selvaraghavan's film
In an interview to IANS, Sara opened up on working with different directors and exploring herself saying, "When I started off, my only dream and desire was to be able to do all kinds of genres of films with all kinds of directors. So, I truly consider myself extremely lucky that I have been given this opportunity because I am of course a die-hard David sir fan. But the truth is, not one particular genre of cinema I like."
