Advocate Chaitanya Rohilla has sought a moratorium on WhatsApp's new privacy policy with immediate effect. The petition urges the court to protect the fundamental and personal rights of the people while making any kind of change in the privacy policy by WhatsApp and not to ignore it in any way.

Not only this, he argued that the new privacy policy of WhatsApp in the petition would not only violate the right of privacy of crores of people but also claimed to be a threat to national security.

Advocate Rohilla has said in the petition that WhatsApp's new policy actually gives the company the right to take all kinds of information given in the 360-degree profile of the people.

WhatsApp has announced the new privacy policy on 4 January and under it, all users have to accept it by 8 February.
