The BSE Sensex is at 49,657 (down 0.4%). The top gainers among the BSE Sensex stocks today are BHARTI AIRTEL (up 3.4%), NTPC (up 1.2%) and TATA STEEL (up 1.2%). Other gainers include M&M (up 0.6%) and BAJAJ FINANCE (up 0.6%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are BHARTI AIRTEL and SBI.
In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 14,617 (down 0.5%). BHARTI AIRTEL (up 3.2%) and UPL (up 3.1%) are among the top gainers in NSE Nifty.
Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 41,860 to 49,657, registering a gain of 7,797 points (up 18.0%).
TATA POWER net profit declined 444.2% YoY to Rs 715 million for the quarter ended September 2020, compared to a loss of Rs 208 million a year ago. Net Sales rose 17.2% to Rs 82.9 billion during the period as against Rs 70.7 billion in July-September 2019.
For the year ended March 2020, TATA POWER reported 231.7% decrease in net profit to Rs 5.5 billion compared to net profit of Rs 4.2 billion during FY19.
Revenue of the company grew 2.5% to Rs 291 billion during FY20.
The current Price to earnings ratio of TATA POWER, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 108.7x.
