It is worth mentioning that Sharma was ruled out of the IPL 2020 campaign with an abdominal muscle tear. The bowler could feature in only one match for his side and that was against Sunrisers Hyderabad on September 29. He went wicketless in that match and gave away 26 runs in three overs.

However, with the next edition of the IPL just three months away, Sharma’s outstanding return is a positive sign for the Delhi Capitals. The team will not only be able to retain the right-arm pacer but also be able to benefit from his services in the 14th edition of the lucrative league.
