Fundraising for Ayodhya Ram temple from Jan 20 in Telangana

Warangal Urban: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Telangana general secretary (Karyavahak) Kacham Ramesh said the construction of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya was a symbol of self-respect of the nation and added that they were trying to ensure participation of every person in the country in this holy mission.

Speaking to mediapersons at ABVP office in Balasamudram here on Friday, Ramesh said the fundraising programme for the construction of the Ram Mandir would be held from January 20 to February 10.

“We have formed Sri Ram Janmabhoomi Teertha Trust following the Supreme Court’s verdict. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat laid the foundation stone to the temple which will be constructed in 2.72 acres of land and the remaining 60 acres will become a place for various spiritual activities,” he added. Stating that many donors are coming forward for the Ram Mandir, he clarified that the funds donated would have income tax exemption.

Explaining about the programme, Ramesh said that a committee of the Trust had been constituted in Telangana State and would meet 50 lakh families. He added that about two lakh activists had already been on the work in 12,000 villages in the State. He further said that they would like to take into confidence all the political parties and NGOs for the event.

Later, Ramesh released ‘Ayodhya Ramalayam’ pamphlet brought out by Sri Ram Janmabhoomi Teertha Kshetra Trust. Madireddy Ravinder Reddy and Katkuri Ravinder Reddy of Sri Venkateshwara Constructions offered Rs 10,01,116, Sampath Rao of Sai Sri Infrastructure donated Rs 3,00,116, while Vangari Suryanarayana, former principal of LB College, donated Rs 1,00,116 and Chinthapally Devender Reddy contributed Rs 1 lakh for the cause.

RSS erstwhile Warangal district president and former professor Chilakamari Sanjeeva, Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teertha Kshetra Trust convenor Jaipal Reddy and co-convenor Bandela Mohan Rao were present at the press meet.
