MANGALURU: BJP state president Nalin Kumar Kateel warned party leaders, who speak against chief minister B S Yediyurappa, to be cautious. “The party high command is watching you,” Kateel said here on Friday.
On statements made by disgruntled MLAs including Basanagouda Patil Yatnal, who alleged that legislators got ministerial berths in the cabinet expansion by blackmailing the CM with a controversial CD, Kateel warned that they should speak within the framework of the party.
“Let them speak to the high command if they have differences. Speaking on the roads is an indiscipline in the party. The high command is watching you. Speak within the framework of the party. If anyone has expressed concern over not getting ministerial berth, it is just their sentiments and pain. Hence, they should express it in the right spirit. Yatnal’s statements have been brought to the notice of the central discipline committee of the BJP. National leaders have been informed,” Kateel said adding that the discipline committee will take a decision.
On the secret CD Yatnal was referring to, Kateel said, “Chief minister B S Yediyurappa has already challenged them to show the CD. Hence, it is not right to make baseless allegations.”
Kateel also advised opposition leader Siddaramaiah not to interfere in BJP’s internal affairs. “We will look into our party’s affairs. Siddaramaiah need not interfere,” he added.
