Considering the present situation, the common man expects the Finance Minister to liberalise provisions of section 80D and expand its scope to include medical expenditure incurred by taxpayers on COVID-19 or any other ailment , without the restriction of age or availability of medical insurance.

Govt should reconsider long term capital gain tax on shares and mutual funds.Ut should be with draw an,may be period extended from one year to two years.Dividend tax in the hands of receiver should be reconsidered and it may be either withdrawn or the limit be extended to twenty thousand.Small investors should be encouraged for investment and they should not be tax unnecessary.

The Government coolly forgets a large section of people called Sr. Citizens. Relief for Tax payers. But those people who paid taxes throughout their life and since they are now out of the tax net, they are being ignored.
