Shimla, Jan 15 (UNI) Himachal Pradesh government on Friday decided to reopen all summer schools for classes V and VIII to XII from February 1 and all colleges from February 8.The decision was taken in the meeting of the state cabinet held here.The schools and colleges in the hill state have been closed since March of last year when Covid-19 nationwide lockdown was announced to trim the spread of the fatal disease.It was also decided that students of classes V and VIII to XII of winter closing schools would be allowed to attend regular classes from February 15.

Online system for education under "Har Ghar Pathshala" would continue. The similar system can be adopted by the private schools in the State, the cabinet advice.

It was also decided that all teachers of summer closing government schools would attend the schools from January 27 after proper sanitization.

With 62 new cases were recorded on Thursday. The total tally of Covid cases reached 56,751.
