CHANDIGARH:
Haryana health department has set up 77 immunization sites for the first round of vaccination to be launched in the country on Saturday.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be inaugurating the first phase of the Covid-19 vaccine roll out in which there will be two-way connectivity with 60 immunization sites digitally across the country out of which two are of Haryana.
"The two immunization sites in Haryana where the Prime Minister’s address will be live are Gurugram, Govt Primary School, Wazirabad and Civil Dispensary, Sector 4
Panchkula,” said Vij. Also, 75 immunization sites in the state will have one way connection with the Prime Minister and will have access to his address.
67 lakh people of Haryana will be vaccinated during the vaccine roll out. Besides this, the Covid-19 vaccine will be administered to eminent doctors including, Medanta Hospital, director, Dr Naresh Trehan, Pulmonologist at Medanta Hospital, Dr Sushila Kataria, Pulmonologist, DGHS, Haryana, Dr SB Kamboj, KCGMCH, Karnal, director, Dr Jagdish Dureja and CMOs of Karnal, Ambala and Gurugram and other eminent doctors.
Additional chief secretary, health, Rajeev Arora said that as per guidelines given by GOI, the Covid-19 vaccine will be administered sequentially starting from Health Care Workers (HCWs). Category 1: Health Care Workers will be vaccinated. Category 2: Front line workers like Municipal and sanitary worker, State and Central Police force, Civil Defence, Armed forces, revenue workers will be vaccinated. Category 3: Population above 50 years of Age and Population below 50 years with co-morbidities will be given vaccine.
