Skyesports League: Naman ‘Soul Mortal’ Mathur wins Star Player Award for Valorant

The Skyesports Valorant India League 2020 ended just a few days back with Team Hyderabad winning the city vs city format competitive Valorant match. But the League’s prizes were far from over. Three days ago, Skyesports posted its nomination for the star player of the League that had big names like HydraFlick, Meow16k, Mortal amongst others from their respective titles. Naman Mathur aka Soul Mortal, better known as Mortal won the ‘Star Player Award’ by receiving the maximum number of votes.

Notably, Debanjan ‘DEATHMAKER’ Das, from Team Rajasthan came out as the MVP of the Valorant League. Das was a part of Team RajasthanValorant event.

The voting process was fairly simple. The public just had to go on Skyesports’ Instagram page and then “like” the picture of the Valorant India player they wanted to vote for. Mortal won the contest by receiving the highest number of likes on his nomination post when he received 26,831 likes.

Skyesports took to social media to name Soul Mortal as the winner by uploading a photo and captioning it

Skyesports has been one of the front runners in keeping the esports ecosystem up and running in the country. The Skyesports Valorant India League, Shiva Nandy, the CEO of Skyesports feels it would be a yearly event. He has the vision of taking this League and making it something like the IPL. “IPL starts in the evening and our tournament will start in the afternoon. That is the combination we want to look at,” he said in an interview with InsideSport.
