Amazon Spain workforce tops 12,000 after 5,000 jobs created in 2020

Amazon said its permanent workforce in Spain now stands at 12,000 employees after the company created 5,000 new jobs in 2020. The new roles include entry-level positions in operations, software developers and engineers, business and account managers, data scientists and machine-learning professionals, as well as cloud experts and solution architects working at Amazon Web Services. In addition to the permanent workforce, Amazon hired 7,000 people to reinforce its logistics operations all across the country during the last festive season.
