15-yr-old girl gangraped by three youths

Thane, Jan 13 (UNI) A fifteen-year-old girl from Uttan of Bhayander has been gangraped by three youths in the age group of around 20, late last night at the ground where fish is laid for drying behind the Sea Food the MBVV police said on Wednesday.

The police said that offences under sections 376(d),376(2),(I), 354, 323,504,and 506 of the IPC and also section 4,6,8 and 12 of the POCSO Act of 2012 has been registered against the trio in the small hours of today.

The police said that the victim was chit chatting near her house with other boys and girls from the locality when the trio arrived there and beat and drove away the boys. There were only two girls the victim and her friend left out and the trio pulled them by hand upon which the friend also ran away and the victim was left alone.

At that time around 11.30 p.m. the trio dragged the victim away and took her to an isolated place and while one of them held her hands and legs the other one gagged her and the third one raped her. Later the other accused also took turns on her the police said.

Today afternoon the police arrested the trio and their names were given as Sanjay Bharti,26,Ambesh gautam, 24 and Indrajit Gautam, 24 all labourers.

The trio were produced before the special POCSO Court today and the Judge at the court Mrs. KD Shirbhate accepted the arguments of the APP Sanjay More and remanded the accused into police custody till January 22.

In his argument while batting for maximum of police custody the APP told the court that the police are yet to complete their probe and find out if any more persons involved in the ghastly crime.

PSI KB Kurewad of the Uttan sagri police station is carrying out the further probe into the crime.
