This is quite good given that we are in the middle of a pandemic. Thalapathy Vijay's Master was supposed to release on April 9, 2020. But the coronavirus pandemic pushed the film. However, the makers were keen on releasing it in theatres, and not on an OTT platform. Yesterday, actors like Keerthy Suresh, Arjun Das and filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj were seen watching the film in the theatres. While the critics reviews aren't too great, the public has termed it an engaging entertainer. The highlight is the face-off between Vijay Sethupathi and Thalapathy Vijay. The superstar had met the CM requesting that seating occupancy be increased for the film. It is seeing 100 per cent occupancy in the state. Actor Simbu also requested for full occupancy. In the mean time, a case has been filed against the producer, Xavier Britto. It seems he played songs of Vijay's other films at the audio launch without seeking permissions. A few scenes also got leaked. Filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj requested fans to not leak scenes online. He put up a note on Twitter saying, "Dear all it’s been a 1.5-year-long struggle to bring Master to u. All we have is hope that you’ll enjoy it in theatres. If u come across leaked clips from the movie, please don’t share it. Thank u all. Love u all. One more day and #Master is all yours. (sic)."
