Jamshedpur man duped of Rs 4.41 lakh by cyber con

JAMSHEDPUR: An unidentified cyber con, who posed as an employee of a telecom company, duped Ashish Kumar, a resident of Mango’s Space Town area of Rs 4.41 lakh on Monday.
Kumar told police he received an SMS which said Kumar’s number will not function anymore if he doesn’t call the number provided in the message.
After Kumar complied, a person from the other end asked him to download an app on his phone and asked him to transfer Rs 10 to a particular bank account.
However, within minutes Kumar saw Rs 4.41 lakh had been withdrawn from his account when he approached police.
