The global export of woven coats has increased 19.80 per cent to $10,674.14 million in 2019 from $8,909.70 million in 2017. Total exports declined 0.26 per cent in 2019 over the previous year, according to data from TexPro. Further, the exports are expected to move down to $10,666.74 million in 2022 with a rate of 0.07 per cent from 2019.
The global import value of woven coats was $10,439.70 million in 2017, which surged 14.40 per cent to $11,943.16 million in 2019. Total imports rose 0.64 per cent in 2019 over the previous year and is expected to slash to $11,934.87 million in 2022 with a rate of 0.07 per cent from 2019, according to
Fibre2Fashion's market analysis tool TexPro.
China ($3,586.30 million), Italy ($1,708.81 million), Spain ($687.57 million) and Germany ($684.69 million) were the key exporters of woven coats across the globe in 2019, together comprising 62.46 per cent of total export. These were followed by France ($499.58 million), Netherlands ($397.94 million) and UK ($356.57 million).
From 2015 to 2019, the most notable rate of growth in terms of export value, amongst the main exporting countries, was attained by Germany (76.67 per cent), Italy (49.92 per cent) and China (38.87 per cent).
Japan ($1,160.02 million), Germany ($1,035.73 million), US ($893.56 million), France ($833.01 million), Spain ($817.46 million), UK ($807.03 million) and Italy ($733.81 million) were the key importers of knit accessories in the globe in 2019, together comprising 52.59 per cent of total import. These were followed by South Korea ($613.01 million), Netherlands ($571.18 million) and China ($516.75 million).
From 2015 to 2019, the most notable rate of growth in terms of import value, amongst the main importing countries, was attained by Spain (32.04 per cent), Germany (31.94 per cent) and France (18.00 per cent).
