London, Jan 14: The current gambling rules in India are on the brink of looking a little out of date. Other than horse racing or lottery gaming, in most parts of the country gambling is not allowed.

Plenty of people find a way to bypass this though, and get their bets on, play casino games and do what they want to do.

It is for this reason that the rules are a little outdated, it is pointless having rules in place if they are easy to navigate around, and not really policed.

The Pressure to Embrace Gambling

Another factor that is really taking a hold is the fact that many Indians want to gamble. Whether it is the fanatical love of cricket that sends fans towards sports betting or the many traditional Indian games now available to play in a mobile casino that is attracting them to that, there has been a change.

While ever gambling in India remains illegal for most people, those who want to take part have to take a risk to do so. This is only a small risk, as the rules are not properly enforced, but it is a risk.

The country may decide enough is enough, and it is no longer prepared to keep letting those people navigate the rules to place their bets. Instead, they may feel it is time to embrace gambling, and allow it, taking away all of the risk associated with it.

This would of course be great news for those who enjoy gambling at the moment, they won’t have to work as hard to place their bets or play casino games, and they should also get a better deal from their providers.

It doesn’t need strict regulation, like we have seen with the UK Gambling Commission in the UK, but a relaxation to accept licenses from other parts of the world as being good enough for companies to accept Indian players.

Relaxing the Rules of Gambling

What the relaxing of gambling rules would do is give Indians a long list of casinos that are safe to use, ones that have been approved and have a license in place. This covers the safety and security aspect of it all.

However, on top of that, it will also give those Indian players a better service. By legally being allowed to market themselves towards Indian players, casinos can look to tailor their service towards them.

We may see things such as more casino offers in Rupees, better payment options for Indians that include some local ones and much more. The casinos need custom from India to make this happen, and many of them already have it, but should we see news reports that show legalised gambling in India, expect plenty more people to get involved.

There is a huge number of sports fans and casino gamers in the country, some already gamble and others are still waiting to get involved. Casinos will know just how big this market could be, and how vital it would be to win business.

This is only going to mean offers, deals, promos and everything else you can think of to attract people in.

The rules in place may not last for much longer, a reform is needed, and when it comes, expect the gambling scene in India to grow even bigger and get even better.
