Sparkfox PS5 Accessories to Launch in India Starting Rs. 299

With the PS5 India release date of February 2, 2021 fast approaching and a distinct lack of official PS5 accessories from Sony, it appears that third-party brands will fill the void. Several retailers speaking to IGN India have confirmed that accessory brand Sparkfox will launch in the country with three PS5 accessories via Indian games and accessories distributor E-xpress. One of them, a four pack of thumb grips (pictured below), will work with the PS4 as well. Pricing is affordable starting at Rs. 299. Here’s the full list of what will be available at retail stores from the February 10, 2021 release date.

• Thumb grips four pack for PS5 and PS4 - Rs. 299 (MRP is Rs. 499)
• PS5 camo grey silicone grip pack - Rs. 699 (MRP is Rs. 999)
• PS5 premium braided data and charge cable - Rs. 799 (MRP is Rs. 999)

In addition to this, there’s a PS4 controller cable as well for Rs. 699 (MRP is Rs. 799).

These Sparkfox accessories will be available for pre-order at your local game store and online as well. At the moment specialist retailer Games The Shop has them up for grabs though other online stores should have them listed soon enough.

Previously, Sony had confirmed to IGN India that the PS5 Digital Edition and most accessories will miss the PS5 release date of February 2, 2021.

“PS5 Digital Edition and select peripherals (Dual Sense charging station, HD camera and PS headset) will not be available in the launch window,” the company told us over email. “Please monitor our official channels for updates on release dates.”

What this means is only the only official Sony accessories at launch are the DualSense controller and Media Remote. It will be interesting to see if other accessory makers step in. At the moment though, it’s heartening to see some affordable options.
