AR conducts security meet

Imphal, January 12 2021: Troops of Assam Rifles organised a security meet at Lamdeng village in Imphal West district, which was attended by village headmen, members of youth clubs, Meira Paibis and locals of nearby villages and they were sensitised and updated on current security situation and precautions to be exercised specially for the upcoming Republic Day, said a statement issued by PRO Assam Rifles.

Interaction was also carried out on necessary measures required to be undertaken by the locals' in synergy with Assam Rifles for maintaining a strict vigil against illicit activities in the area specially extortion and smuggling, added the statement.

Locals were also educated on various precautionary measures to fight against COVID-19, further said the statement.
