Low count continues with 32 cases, no death

Imphal, January 12 2021: Even though the State recorded 32 more positive cases, there was no report of any COVID-19 related death during the last 24 hours.

Manipur has seen a low count of positive cases in the last few days.

A press release issued by Additional Director (Health) and COVID-19 Common Control Room spokesman Dr Khoirom Sasheekumar Mangang informed that 32 people including two personnel CAPF were tested positive for COVID-19 at JNIMS, RIMS, Maipakpi Hospital, Advance Hospital, Shija Hospital, Raj Medicity, Thoubal, Tamenglong and Churachandpur.

The 30 civilians who have been tested positive belong to Imphal West (4), Imphal East (7), Thoubal (7), Bishnupur (3), Kakching (1), Chandel (1), Tamenglong (5), Kamjong (1) and Churachandpur (1) .

On the other hand, 28 COVID-19 positive people were discharged during the last 24 hours from CAPF (2), home isolation (15), JNIMS (6), CCC Lamboi Khongnangkhong (1), Shija Hospital (1), Kakching (2) and Raj Medicity (1) .

The cumulative number of positive cases is 28,725 (general population 25,327 and Central security personnel 3,398) .

It includes 481 active cases (general population 455 and Central security personnel 26) and 27,879 discharged cases (general population 24,511 and Central security personnel 3,368) .
