CES 2021: Asus announces ROG Flow X13, Zephyrus Duo 15 SE and Strix SCAR 17 with latest generation AMD processors, dedicated Nvidia GPUs and more

Expanding its gaming laptop lineup, Taiwan-based laptop maker Asus has announced three new laptops at CES 2021 event.
The lineup includes ROG Flow X13 with XG Mobile external GPU, the dual-screen ROG Zephyrus Duo 15SE and Strix SCAR 17 gaming laptops.
The new lineup of ROG laptops are powered by latest AMD Ryzen 5000 series processors and Nvidia GeForce GPUs.

ROG Flow X13 is an ultraportable gaming laptop with a 120Hz 13-inch FHD display and optional 4K panel with Gorilla Glass protection.
The displays are Pentone validated for better colour accuracy and also support touch and stylus input.
In addition, it also supports Adaptive-sync technology that ensures smooth overall gaming performance.
It is powered by up to AMD Ryzen 5980HS mobile processor and Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650 graphics.
Flow X13 can be paired with XG Mobile, an external GPU with NVIDIA® GeForce RTX 3080 graphics.
Asus claims that this is a power-efficient laptop with claimed battery life of up to 10 hours of gaming on a full charge.
The laptop also comes with a 100-watt USB Type-C PD charger. The charger claims to charge the laptop from 0 to 100% in under 39 minutes.
The ROG Flow X13 laptop features a flip design with 360-degree rotatable hinge.
The cooling system of Flow X13 is custom-made for high performance in a small chassis.
It features a liquid metal cooling technology that enhances cooling capacity of the laptop.
ROG Zephyrus Duo 15 SE: Features, specifications and more
The ROG Zephyrus Duo 15 SE features Asus’s dual-display design with ROG ScreenPad Plus software.
ScreenPad Plus screen raises a few degrees when the laptop display is opened to give the user a comfortable viewing angle.
The ultra-slim Zephyrus Duo 15 SE will be available with up to AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX mobile processor and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 graphics.
It comes with either a 120 Hz 4K display with 100% Adobe RGB colour space coverage or a 300 Hz FHD display with a 3ms response time and 100% sRGB colour space coverage. B
Both panels are PANTONE validated and feature thin-bezel designs along with Adaptive-Sync technology.
Asus has partnered with XSplit Gamecaster to allow gamers to monitor their streams while gaming on the main display.
In addition, ROG has also partnered with Adobe for additional content creation tools for some of its creative software.
The laptop comes with two-way AI Noise-Cancelling feature offers clear communication
The speakers on the laptop are backed by Dolby ATMOS technology for improved surround sound output.
It also comes with an improved Active Aerodynamic System Plus (AAS+) cooling system that ensures better airflow throughout the system.
The entire cooling system is paired with five heat sink pipes and liquid metal. Asus claims that this will allow the laptop to offer maximum possible performance.

ROG Strix SCAR 17 comes with up to AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX processor and up to Nvidia RTX 3080 GPU.
The laptop also supports up to 64GB of dual-channel DDR4 RAM clocked at 3200MHz.
The laptop boasts a 17-inch FHD panel with 360Hz refresh rate and 3ms response time. Asus claims that this is the fastest display ever on a laptop.
Asus is also offering an option 160Hz WQHD panel with DCI-P3 colour gamut.
Like other two laptops, both panels are Adaptive-Sync supported for smooth gaming performance.
SCAR 17 comes with quad-speaker design backed by Dolby ATMOS technology.
The laptop is backed by a 90Wh battery that claims to offer 12 hours of video playback on a single charge.
It also supports fast charging with 100-watt USB Type-C power adapter.
