Covid-19 vaccination: 4 most important SMS you will get

Vaccination programme against coronavirus is set to begin in the country from January 16. The government has announced the Co-WIN app to help citizens get themselves registered for the vaccine.
Though the app is still to go live, many have been asking questions like “how will i get vaccination information after registration.” The Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India in a post on microblogging site Twitter has shared an update on the vaccination drive.

In the tweet, the Ministry says that after one gets himself/herself registered on Co-WIN app, he/she will receive an SMS on the registered mobile number confirming the registration.
This will be followed by a second message mentioning the date, time and place for the first dose of vaccination.
After this, citizens will receive a message for completion of vaccination and due date for the next vaccine.
Lastly, a fourth and final message will be generated after completion of the second dose. The SMS will also have a link for a digital certificate of the vaccination.
Meanwhile, the Co-WIN website is already live and can be accessed at “https://www.cowin.gov.in”. The website has Although the homepage asks for registration, it is not yet operational. The Co-WIN platform will be used for recording vaccine data and will form a database of healthcare workers.
It is likely that the Co-WIN app will soon be made available on app stores for download. The government has also warned people that there are number of fake vaccination apps that are doing rounds to dupe people. It has asked people to be careful.
