Stacey Liburd has been appointed to the position of Director of Tourism at the Anguilla Tourist Board (ATB). The move was recently confirmed by Minister of Tourism, Haydn Hughes. She comes to the position with a wealth of business development, sales and marketing experience in tourism, having represented a cross section of Anguilla’s most exceptional resort and villa properties.
Prior to her latest appointment Liburd served as a member of the ATB Board of Directors where she chaired the marketing committee. Minister Hughes said in a statement that the tourism board have put together a very strong board at the ATB and shared that the Anguilla Tourist Board will be strengthened by the appointment that was made after careful consideration in consultation with tourism partners. The Minister added that Liburd possesses the skills to help navigate the day-to-day operations during the unprecedented times and has the confidence and support of the board.
Speaking on her appointment, Stacey Liburd shared that she is honoured that the board has entrusted her with the awesome responsibility. She mentioned that she is a passionate believer in Anguilla’s extraordinary tourism product and looks forward to working closely with colleagues at the board, the ministries of health and tourism, and with the industry stakeholders to recapture the market share, rebuild and rebrand the destination as the most desirable vacation experience in the Caribbean.
