CPPIB and BTG fund to jointly bid for Oi's fibre unit - report

The Canada Pension Plan Investment Board and a fund managed by Banco BTG Pactual are planning a joint bid for the fibre unit of Brazilian telecom operator Oi, sources familiar with the matter told Bloomberg. The bid should be submitted on 22 January, together with those of Highline do Brasil (part of Digital Colony) and Ufinet (backed by Italy's Enel), according to the same sources.
