Amazon launches its first mobile-only Prime Video plan for Airtel users
Amazon has announced its first ever mobile-only Prime Video plan for Airtel users. Called the Prime Video Mobile Edition, the plan is a single-user plan that offers SD quality streaming.

It comes at a starting price of Rs 89. The company has collaborated with telecom provider Airtel for the first roll out of Prime Video Mobile Edition.

Amazon Prime Video is live in 240 different geographies. India is the only country where you can buy Prime Video: Mobile Edition currently, making it the global first.

As part of the new plan, all prepaid Airtel customers can avail a 30-day free trial for the Prime Video. They can sign up to Amazon from the Airtel Thanks app using their mobile number.

Once the free trial period ends, users can choose from four different prepaid plans offering Prime Video content. The plans include a Rs 89 plan that offers 28 days Prime Video Mobile Edition and 6GB of mobile data.

Another plan that a user can opt for is a Rs 299 prepaid plan that offers access to Prime Video content for 28 days along with 1.5GB per day and unlimited calls.


Those looking for a plan with multi-user access and HD/UHD content along with other Prime benefits can choose from Rs 131 and Rs 349 prepaid plans. The former comes with a validity of 30 days.


Rs 349 prepaid plan, on the other hand has a validity of 28 days and offers Amazon Prime membership with full access to Prime Video. It will also offer mobile data of 2GB per day.



These plans will be available on the Airtel Thanks app.
