NOIDA: Dead body of a 27-year-old man was found in a public toilet near the Botanical Garden bus stand, a few meters from the police station on Tuesday morning.
Body of the deceased, Radhe Chauhan, was found inside the toilet with a deep cut on his neck around 8am on Tuesday.
Radhe, according to police, was a drug addict. He was married to a Muslim woman who recently left him as he used to abuse her. The woman’s family was also unhappy with their relationship.
According to police, Radhe whose family stays in Chaura village of Sector 24, was not on good terms with his family and would loiter around in the area.
“An FIR has been lodged in the case for his murder. We are questioning his wife. She has revealed that he used to trouble her and she had separated from him around four months back. We are verifying if someone associated with the woman resorted to the act. It is also possible that the incident was a result of a fight between drug addicts, given that he himself was a drug addict,” additional DCP (Noida) Ranvijay Singh told TOI.
While Radhe’s brother is well-settled in Noida’s Chaura village, they had asked him to leave the house due to his activities.
“He has a daughter who stays with his sister. The deceased had distanced himself from the family since his father’s death in 2019,” he said.
24-year-old found dead in drain of Sector 79
Body of 24-year-old man belonging to Chitrakoot was found in the drain of Sector 79 late Monday night.
Sector 49 station officer Sudhir Singh said that the deceased identified as Kallu Prasad was a resident of Sector 116 and a heavy drinker.
“It seems that the deceased sat on a side of the drain and fell into it. He was a heavy drunkard and died of drowning. It has been found that he was a drug addict too,” he said.
