Man gets jail for abusing stray dog in Thane

Thane, Jan 12 (UNI) A court here has convicted and sentenced a 40-year-old homeless man to simple imprisonment for sexually abusing stray dogs in Wagle Estate locality of the city in July last year.
On July 21, 2020, accused Vijay Chalke caught hold of a stray dog on the road in the Wagle Estate locality and sexually abused it, the prosecutor told the court on Monday.
First Class Judicial Magistrate V P Khandare found Chalke guilty under section 377 of Indian Penal Code and awarded him simple imprisonment for six months.
The court also slapped a fine collectively of Rs 1,050 on him.
