In a bid to overtake a lorry, a private bus with 50 passengers collided with an electric-post in Thanjavur claiming three lives.

Chennai: Five people were electrocuted during the collision of which three died on the very spot. The deceased are yet to be identified.

Thiruvaiyaar police rushed to the spot and admitted the 10 others who were injured, two amongst them are in a serious condition, to Thanjavur Government Hospital. The police have filed a complaint and the investigations are on.
