32 new Covid cases, total 28725 in Manipur

Imphal, Jan 12 (UNI)Thirty four new Covid cases were detected in
Manipur and 28 discharged.
In the past twenty-four hours, 30 persons (14M, 16F) from general
population and 2 personnel from Central Armed Police Force (CAPF) were
confirmed as new COVIDI9 positive cases.
The positive persons were tested at JNIMS (13), RIMS (2), Maipakpi
(1), Advance Hospital (1), Shija Hospital (4), Raj Medicity (2),
Thoubal (4), Tamenglong (4) and Churachandpur (1).
The positive cases from general population are from Imphal West (4),
Imphal East (7), Thoubal (7), Bishnupur (3), Kakching (1), Chandel
(1), Tamenglong (5), Kamjong (1) and Churachandpur (1). All necessary
medical precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing
were in place.
In the last 24 hours, there was no report of death. The cumulative
number of deaths was 365.
The total number of discharged persons was 28. They were from CAPF
(2), Home Isolation (15), JNIMS (6), LKK (1), SHR1 (1), PR Kakching
(2) and Rajmed (1).
The cumulative number of positive cases was 28,725 (General Population
— 25,327 and Central Security Personnel — 3,398). The cumulative
number of recovered cases was 27,879(General Population — 24,511 and
Central Security Personnel — 3,368). The number of active cases was
481(General Population — 455 and Central Security Personnel — 26). The
recovery rate was 97.05 % said Dr. Khoirom Sasheekumar Mangang,
