AgenciesNEW DELHI: Nifty Auto index was trading with gains at 12:44PM (IST) on Tuesday.
Shares of Tata Motors (up 10.22 per cent), Bosch (up 6.18 per cent), Ashok Leyland (up 4.75 per cent), Eicher Motors (up 3.99 per cent) and Exide Industries (up 3.95 per cent) were among the top gainers.
While Mahindra & Mahindra (down 0.84 per cent) and Balkrishna Industries (down 0.59 per cent) were the top losers in the index.
The Nifty Auto index was trading 2.03 per cent up at 10198.8 around 12:44PM.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 52.50 points at 14537.25, while the BSE Sensex was up 103.89 points at 49373.21.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 31 were trading in the green, while 19 were in the red.
Shares of were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of hit their fresh 52-week high in today's trade, while Jump Networks Ltd., Vishal Fabrics Ltd., Shrenik Ltd., Salasar Exteriors and Contour Ltd., Simplex Castings Ltd. and AVSL Industries Ltd. hit fresh 52-week low in trade.
