Three temperature-controlled trucks rolled out of the Serum Institute gates shortly before 5 am and left for Pune airport, from where the vaccines will be flown across India.

First lot of COVID-19 vaccine vials to arrive in Kolkata on Tuesday
- The first consignment of over 10.5 lakh vials of COVID-19 vaccines will be reaching Kolkata from Pune on Tuesday, a senior official of the state health department said.
- Arrangements have been made to ferry the consignment from the city airport to state-owned Central Family Welfare Stores at Bagbazar - the biggest depot for stockpiling vaccines in Bengal.

76 UK returnees have COVID-19, 11 of them carry new strain
- As many as 3,519 travellers from the UK have undergone RT-PCR tests in Maharashtra so far, and 76 of them tested positive for COVID-19, including 11 who were found infected with the new coronavirus variant, said a state health department officer on Monday.
- He said the authorities have traced 536 close contacts of the travellers who tested positive and 358 of them have already undergone tests, of which 31 were found positive for COVID-19.
Assam reports 45 new COVID-19 cases, three more deaths
