Playground inaugurated

Imphal, January 10 2021: The MLA of Wangkhem Assembly Constituency, Keisham Meghachandra today formally inaugurated a playground at Yairipok Kekru Khulgi Nongpok Ningthou Panthoibi Lampak and opened it to the public.

The inaugural function of the playground organised by the Kekru Yairi Club, Yairipok and Kekru Development Youth Club was attended by MLA K Meghachandra as the chief guest; Longjam Ibochoubi Singh, presidentof the Kekru Ideal Progressive Committee; Longjam Kamala Devi, Chairperson of Yairipok Municipal Council and others as presidium members.

The cost of construction of the playground which was presented to the people of Kekru village, was fully borne by the MLA of the Wangkhem Assembly.

A cultural event performed by the girls of the locality besides a friendly football match between players of Yairi Club and veteran players and a tug of war contest for married womens marked the occasion.
