Captain Zoya Aggarwal, posted at Air India's Delhi base, is leading the team from San Francisco to Bangalore. The crew also has only women along with the crew in this flight.
According to information received from Air India, this statement, which will be flying at 8:30 pm on Saturday night, will reach Bangalore at 3:45 am on Monday. Zoya is accompanied by Captain Tanmai Papagiri, Captain Akanksha Sonawane, and Captain Shivani Manhas. Zoya said before the flight, it is like having great dreams come true.
Every pilot works hard for this, but it is difficult to get a chance. Air India and the Ministry of Aviation have given me a big responsibility by giving me this opportunity. Zoya will be the first woman commander of Air India to lead the crew on the world's longest air route. Air India pilots have also followed this route before, but for the first time, the entire crew is of women.
