Manipur, Bihar, Sikkim register wins, Chand-Nagaland share points

Chennai, Jan 11 (UNI) Manipur, Bihar and Sikkim registered easy
wins, while Chandigarh and Nagaland shared points in the first
round matches of the Syed Mushtaq Ali T-20 cricket Plate Group
matches held here today.
The match between Chandigarh and Nagaland was abandoned
without a ball being bowled due to overnight rains and wet outfield.
Both the teams got two points each.
In other matches, Meghalaya, put in , were bowled out for 62 in
13 overs and Manipur romped home in 12.1 overs, with five balls
to spare losing four wickets and secured four points.
While Bihar defeated Arunachal Pradesh by 18 runs, Sikkim thrashed
Mizoram by ten wickets in a match reduced to five overs.
Brief scores:
Meghalaya 62 in 13 overs (match reduced to 13 overs due to
delayed start)
(D.B Ravi Teja 35, Rajkumar Rex two for seven, Bishworjit
Konthoujam two for seven, Kishan Singha two for 22) lost
to Manipur 66 for four in 12.1 overs (Narsingh Yadav 33 not
out, Nitesh Sedai 24 not out).
Bihar 122 in 20 overs (Sakibul Gani 21, Rahmat Ullah 24,
Manav Patil four for 20) bt Arunachal Pradesh 104 for nine
in 20 overs (Neelam Obi 20, Kumar Nyompu 23, Nazeeb
Saiyed 23, Sachin Kumar Singh three for 22, Ashutosh
Aman three for 17).
Mizoram 47 for three in five overs (KB Pawan 27) lost to
Sikkim 50 no loss in 3.4 overs (Anureet Singh 28 not out,
Varun Sood 21 not out).
