Farmers stir: 'Will continue to protest against BJP rallies', says Gurnam Singh Chaduni
Haryana Bharatiya Kisan Union (BKU) chief Gurnam Singh Chaduni, who allegedly provoked farmers to create ruckus in Karnal’s village ahead of Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar’s visit, on Monday said that they will continue to protest against such BJP rallies. The Chief Minister was scheduled to visit Kaimla village in Haryana's Karnal district to address a 'kisan mahapanchayat' as part of the ruling BJP's massive outreach programme on the farm laws enacted in September. However, the programme was cancelled after protesting farmers vandalised the venue where Khattar was supposed to address people to highlight “benefits” of the three agriculture laws.
