Live news updates: US House Democrats have formally introduced an article of impeachment charging President Trump with “inciting violence against the government of the United States.” The resolution noted that Trump addressed a rally shortly before his supporters mounted the attack and says he made statements that "encouraged and foreseeably resulted in" the lawless actions at the Capitol.

Hearing petitions challenging the new farm laws as well as the ones related to the ongoing agitation at Delhi borders, the Supreme Court today said 'it will stay the implementation of the farm laws if the government did not do it'. Chief Justice said, "We will stay implementation if the Centre doesn't do it."

Meanwhile, hundreds of birds were reported dead in different parts of the country on Monday as the raging bird flu spread to 10 states and Union Territories, prompting several control measures and a government assurance that there are no scientific reports of the virus' transmission to humans.
