VOLTAS at 52 Week High; BSE 500 Index Up 1.0%

VOLTAS share price has hit a 52-week high at Rs 910 (up 0.6%).

Meanwhile, the BSE 500 Index is at 19,120 (up 0.7%).

Among the top gainers in the BSE 500 Index today are VOLTAS (up 0.6%) and CENTRUM CAPITAL (up 14.9%).

SUZLON ENERGY (down 4.9%) and J&K BANK (down 4.9%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, VOLTAS has moved up from Rs 654 to Rs 910, registering a gain of Rs 256 (up 38.86%).

The BSE 500 has moved up from 15,466 to 19,120, registering a gain of 3,654 points (up 23.3%) during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE 500 Index stocks during this same period were JAIN IRRIGATION (up 157.2%), TATA ELXSI (up 156.6%) and ADANI ENTERPRISES (up 154.6%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 49,271 (up 1.0%). The top gainers among the BSE Sensex stocks today are HCL TECHNOLOGIES (up 5.4%), INFOSYS (up 4.8%) and HDFC (up 3.1%). Other gainers include MARUTI SUZUKI (up 2.8%) and M&M (up 2.3%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are ONGC and BHARTI AIRTEL.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 14,483 (up 0.9%). TATA MOTORS (up 9.0%) and HCL TECHNOLOGIES (up 5.4%) are among the top gainers in NSE Nifty.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 40,677 to 49,271, registering a gain of 8,594 points (up 21.1%).

VOLTAS Financial Update...

VOLTAS net profit down at Rs 867 million for the quarter ended September 2020, compared to a loss of Rs 1 billion a year ago. Net Sales rose 6.4% to Rs 15.9 billion during the period as against Rs 14.9 billion in July-September 2019.

For the year ended March 2020, VOLTAS reported 11.0% increase in net profit to Rs 6.4 billion compared to net profit of Rs 5.8 billion during FY19.

Revenue of the company grew 7.5% to Rs 77 billion during FY20.

The current Price to earnings ratio of VOLTAS, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 64.5x.
