The 67th AGM of the Rajkot Nagrik Sahkari Bank was held recently on the note of the UCB doing excellent work under the Self Dependent Gujarat Aid Scheme, in which it was lauded by Chief Minister Vijaybhai Rupani who honoured the bank for its remarkable performance.

A large number of delegates attended the meeting. The bank chairman Nalinbhai Vasa addressed the meeting and the bank’s CEO Vinod Sharma spoke about the bank’s financial situation.

The chairman told the AGM that the bank has given a credit of Rs.522 crore to 38,600 people. The bank has spent on education for the bank’s employees’ children. It has given financial help of Rs 1 lakh for the weddings of employees’ daughters.

The bank has also spent a considerable amount of money on employees’ insurances. The bank has organized scores of other activities that have not only benefited employees of the bank but also the people in general, noted the Chairman.

The bank has contributed Rs 51 lacs in the PM Cares Fund, Rs 51 lacs in the Mukhyamantri Rahat Nidhi and Rs.5 lacs in Sevabharti Gujarat –a total of Rs 1.7 crore.

Ten proposals in all were presented and after discussions all the proposals were passed by the AGM.

Election officer T. C. Tirthani had declared Madhavbhai Dave, Jimmybhai Daxini, Haribhai Dodiya, HansrajbhaiGajera, Kirteedaben Jadav, Pradipbhai Jain and ArjunbhaiShingala elected undisputed for the 7 seats of directors.

The bank’s CEO-General Manager Vinod Sharma gave a power-point presentation on the 2019-20 financial year. It was revealed that the bank has a Capital of Rs. 4,702 crore, Credit Rs.2,592 crore, Investment Rs.1,593 crore, Owned Fund- Rs. 612.91 crore and Members are 2,84,979.

CD ratio of the bank is 55.13%. Bank’s credit in home loan is Rs. 442 crore, Rs 67 crore in gold credit and Rs 69 crore in Mukhyamantri Awas Yojana.

Dr. Sanjiv Oza (Rajkot Zone Director – Rashtriya Sevak Sangh, Ex-Vice Chancellor – Gujarat Ayurved University), Nalinbhai Vasa (Chairman), Jivanbhai Patel (Vice Chairman) and Jyotindrabhai Mehta (Ex. Chairman) were some of those present on the occasion.

Others included CA. Kalpapbhai Maniar (Ex. Chairman), Tapubhai Limbasiya (Ex. Vice Chariman), DayabhaiDelawala (Ex. Vice Chariman), Arjunbhai Shingala, HaribhaiDodiya, CA. Girishbhai Devaliya, Shaileshbhai Thakar, Jimmybhai Daxini, Deepakbhai Makwana, HansrajbhaiGajera, RajshreebenJani, Kartikeybhai Parekh, Pradipbhai Jain, Kirtidaben Jadav, Bavanjibhai Metaliya, CA. Chandreshbhai Dholakiya, Vinod Sharma (CEO-General Manager), Yatinbhai Gandhi (CFO), delegates, members of branch development committee, invitees and nagrik family were present on the occasion.

Rajnikant Raichura, anchored the program and Jivabhai Patel moved a vote of thanks.
