DESAM appeals to Government

Imphal, January 10 2021: The Democratic Students' Alliance of Manipur (DESAM) appealed to the State Government and the department concerned to 'rectify' the advertisement published in some dailies on January 8 for the vacant post of a Chief Engineer of the Education Wing of Education (S) department.

A press release issued by the student body claimed that the published advertisement fails to mention certain eligibility criteria for the post and the term of office.

Alleging that the last date mentioned in the advertisement (January 11) for applying for the post is too short, DESAM asked if the advertisement was published in newspapers for namesake only.

It then appealed to the State Government to issue a fresh notification for the post by mentioning the eligibility clearly to promote transparency in appointing the important posts in the Government department.
