Bird flu: Delhi CM issues directions to open Ghazipur poultry market after samples test negative
Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday issued directions to open the Ghazipur poultry market after all 100 samples collected from there tested negative for bird flu. "Samples taken from poultry markets have tested negative with respect to bird flu. Have directed to open the poultry market & withdraw the orders to restrict trade & import of chicken stocks," the chief minister tweeted.

Delhi reports 850 bird mortality, 468 complaints related to avian influenza
As many as 850 cases of bird deaths due to avian influenza have been reported in the national capital, Delhi's animal husbandry department said here on Thursday. As per official data, till 10 am on Thursday, the animal husbandry department has received 468 more 'complaints related to bird flu'.
Over 4.3k birds die due to flu in 19 days across Rajasthan
In past 19 days, the death toll of birds due to suspected avian influenza virus has touched 4,390. The bird flu has been found in 16 districts. On Wednesday, 443 bird deaths were reported in the state and 62 samples out of 251 sent were found positive.

Panel to monitor situation in TN, says Minister
Following the outbreak of bird flu in neighbouring Kerala, the Tamil Nadu government has set up a panel to monitor the impact and death of birds in the state, Animal Husbandry Minister Udumalai K Radhakrishnan said on Tuesday.
Maharashtra: The toll of poultry birds in Vidarbha region has crossed 500 as on Tuesday. Poultry deaths have been reported in Nagpur, Bhandara, Yavatmal, Amravati and Akola districts. This has led to strict imposition of restrictive measures including home quarantine of the poultry farm workers in Bhandara. However, no such measures have been taken in the other districts where poultry birds have died too, said senior officials in the state’s animal husbandry department.
