Good News! Anushka Sharma, Virat Kohli become parents to a baby girl
Badhaai Ho! Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma and Indian cricket team captain Virat Kohli have become proud parents to a baby girl. The announcement of the good news was made by the dotting daddy who took to social media and shared two posts in Hindi and English and captioned it with a heart. The post read, "We are thrilled to share with you that we have been blessed with a baby girl this afternoon. We thank you all for your love, prayers and good wishes. Anushka and the baby are both healthy and we are feeling beyond blessed to start this new chapter of our lives. We hope that you can respect our privacy at this time. Love, Virat.
The celebrity couple who got hicthed in the year 2017 announced their pregnancy last year in August on their respective social media accounts and wrote alongside, "And then we were three! Arriving Jan 2021."

Recently, in an interview with Vogue, Anushka opened up about their child's upbringin and revealed that they do not want to raise a child in the public eye. She said, "We don’t plan on engaging our child in social media. I think it’s a decision your child should be able to take. No kid should be made to be more special than the other. It’s hard enough for adults to deal with it. It’s going to be difficult, but we intend to follow through."
She even spoke about the food cravings and said, "I was eating only toast and crackers for the first three months. So, when it ended, I wanted to eat vada pao and bhel puri, but that didn’t last long either. So, no real cravings."
On the work front, Kohli was allowed a paternity leave by the BCCI to be with his wife for the birth of their first child. While for Anushka, she was last seen in Aanand L Rai's 'Zero' which also starred Shah Rukh Khan and Katrina Kaif in leading roles.
